Personal
My name is Osha Humphrey MSN, CNM. I am a wife and a mother to 4 beautiful children; 3 of which I birthed at home with a midwife. That is where my midwifery journey began. I enjoy being with my family, crocheting, walking, drawing, doing puzzles and continuing to learn about all thing's women's health.
I believe in the power of informed choice when it comes to childbirth. Every woman deserves the right to make decisions about her own body and birth experience.
Experience/Skills
I have been a labor/delivery RN since 2017 and completed the masters trained nurse midwifery program from the University of Michigan in May 2024. I completed and passed my state boards in July 2024. I have caught 43 babies throughout my training. I have skills in perineum suturing if needed. I have experience catching babies in the water and on land. I am certified in neonatal resuscitation. Even though I am new to midwifery care I am not new to what it takes to care for women and their families.
Future Goals
Homebirth has always had a special place in my heart. Continuing that into midwifery care has been a calling that I could not resist. Jackson is my hometown and ultimately opening a birth center here would be a dream. Thank you for taking the time to read and the consideration of hiring me as your midwife.
A Birthing Center and Women's Health
Big things are happening here for the Jackson community and surrounding areas. A birthing center where women and families can birth is a maxi home environment. This birthing center will also provide well women visits.
