Prenatal Care

• Routine prenatal visits
  • Monthly prenatal visits until the 28th week of pregnancy
  • Every 2 weeks until 36 weeks
  • Weekly prenatal visits from 36 weeks until birth
  • Home visit at 36 weeks (birth team attends)
• Labs and routine prenatal tests ordered 
• Routine ultrasound for dating and anatomy scan will be ordered 
• Birth pool kit available for rental if hydrotherapy in labor is desired

Home Birth

• Continuous hands-on labor support and birth assistance
• Immediate postpartum care until mother and baby are stable (usually 3-4 hours)
• Newborn exam including weight, measurements, and any routine medications desired

Waterbirth

• Birth tub additional cost $100 to rent
• Birth liner additional cost

Postpartum Care

• Maternal and well-newborn care visits
  • 24-hour home visit
  • 1 week home visit
  • 2 weeks visit at home or in office
  • 4-6 weeks visit at the office
• Breastfeeding support
• Routine newborn tests including congenital heart defect screen, hearing screen, newborn congenital screen test (NCST).

 I accept cash, checks, direct PayPal transfers, Venmo, and credit/debit cards using PayPal card processing services. 

At the first prenatal visit, I like to work out a payment plan outlining the total price to be paid and a schedule of payments. 

All payments must be received by 36 weeks unless an alternative agreement is arranged.

If you have medical insurance and would like to attempt insurance reimbursement for your midwifery care costs, we can work with a biller that I have contracted with to help assist you and your family.

You must be paid in full for me to complete a request for an itemized bill. 

Be aware, health insurance reimbursement is not a guarantee, and Medicaid WILL NOT offer reimbursement. 

The basic package fee for midwifery care includes:

• $500 of the fee is required as a non-refundable down payment at the initial visit to begin care.  

The global fee includes: 

• Prenatal visits (monthly until 28-30 weeks, then biweekly until 36 weeks, then weekly until birth or as often as necessary for optimal individual care), at least 1 prenatal home visit between 34-36 weeks, on-call services, labor/birth support, at least two hours of immediate postpartum care, basic lactation and breastfeeding support, and 4-6 postpartum visits.
• 2nd midwife attendant and/or birth assistant and/or student, suturing for laceration repair up to 2nd degree, emergent medications for management of postpartum hemorrhage, newborn hearing screen, and newborn screen for critical congenital heart disease (CCHD).
• If Rhogam is indicated 1 dose will be cover.
• Discounts for hiring a doula.
• If Vitamin K injection is desired.

The midwifery care package does NOT include:

• Birth kit, newborn screening (metabolic), any referred services (e.g. ultrasound, biophysical profile, lactation consultant, etc.), any required prescription medications (e.g. Rhogam, antibiotics for GBS, etc.), suggested/recommended supplements, or any chosen medication.
